About

Registered dietitians provide credible, evidenced-based advice and work with you to make a nutritional care plan based on your individual needs. Our dietitian is available to provide a 1 hour initial assessment and 30 minute follow up appointments, as needed.

  • Nutrient deficiencies (anemias for iron, folate, or B12)

  • Finding your best weight

  • General healthy eating*

Location & Hours

This service is located at the North Simcoe Family Health Team's office at 619 Prospect Blvd., Suite 3, in Midland. Appointments occur Monday to Friday.

This service is open to anyone in the North Simcoe Community. To register, please call 705-526-7804 x231 or 217.

Waitlist

Please be advised there may be a wait of 3 to 8 weeks upon booking your first appointment.  The waitlist depends on the community demand. Monthly groups are offered for common conditions, such as cholesterol and blood sugar, to help manage wait times.

Visits with a private practice dietitian are typically covered by workplace benefits. Private practice dietitians often have short wait times and many offer evening appointments. To find a dietitian visit the Dietitians of Canada website.

Health Connect Canada (Health811) offers access to a registered dietitian free of charge via telephone or website. Ontarians can call 811 and ask to speak to a registered dietitian (in English or French) 7 days a week.
