Midland COVID-19 Assessment Centre

The Midland COVID-19 Assessment Centre has relocated from the Georgian Bay General Hospital site to the North Simcoe Family Health Team at: 619 Prospect Boulevard, Unit 3 in Midland.

Please note this is a DRIVE-THRU Covid-19 testing centre.

Any testing appointments booked for November 17 and onward will occur at the new location.

Additional groups are now eligible for booster doses at least 6 months from when they received their 2nddose.

The groups include:

  • Individuals aged 70 and over (born in 1951 or earlier)
  • Health care workers and designated essential caregivers in congregate settings who are 16+
  • Indigenous people and their non-Indigenous household members who are 16+
  • Individuals who received a complete series of viral vector vaccine (two doses of AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD or one dose of Janssen vaccine)

Appointments for 3rd doses will be available at 29 Sperling (Barrie) COVID-19 vaccine clinic via the provincial booking system

Public Health community clinics will be opening November 15th.

The NSFHT will update clinic dates once vaccine becomes available.

Flu Shot Update

Flu shots will be offered by appointment only – no walk-ins available

Please be advised we will NOT be offering any of the high dose “seniors dose” vaccines

Flu shots are available to anyone ages 6 months and older

At your appointment

  • Arrive just on time, NOT any earlier
  • You will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms
  • Wear your mask and sanitize your hands
  • Verbally consent to the vaccination
  • Wait 15 minutes after getting your vaccine

Virtual Care Clinic


The North Simcoe Family Health Team has partnered with the Virtual Family Physician Network to provide access for area residents who do not have a Family Physician or Nurse Practitioner.
These appointments occur using telemedicine equipment, a nurse is available to assist the physician during the medical visit. The technology used is confidential and secure.
The Family Health Team is providing the space and onsite support for this service. The relationship between you and the physician is completely unique to you. The programs and services provided by the Family Health Team may also be appropriate to help you become the healthiest you. Speak to our team to learn more.

Nurse Practitioner

This clinic is available to all residents in the community. To access a same day or next day appointment please call our office (705) 526-7804 ext 0 to book an appointment with a Nurse Practitioner. 


These appointments are appropriate for; minor allergic reactions, minor injuries, minor illness, rashes, minor burns, minor infections, small wounds, cough, fever etc.

Single Session Counselling

This single session counselling clinic offers a one-time appointment to focus on one concern you currently have.  We offer support for patients experiencing; troubles with sleep/energy levels, problems with starting or finishing daily activities, overwhelming emotions/low mood/worried thoughts or troubling thoughts.

After Hours Clinic (Physician-Led) - uPDATE

Patients MUST call their family doctors office directly, to book a scheduled appointment in the After Hours Clinic.

Patients must be rostered with a Family Health NETWORK physician

Monday to Thursday       5:00pm to 8:00pm

Saturday                             9:00am to 12:00pm                     

Spots are limited

This clinic is available to all patients who belong to a Family Health NETWORK physician. It is NOT a public clinic. This clinic is appropriate for; minor allergic reactions, minor injuries, minor illness, rashes, minor burns, minor infections, small wounds, cough, fever etc.
