Adult’s Mental Health Program
Who we are
The Mental Health Team provides a range of services to enrolled patients of the North Simcoe Family Health Team physicians and nurse practitioners. Mental Health Counselors provide an assessment, and together with the client, develop goals to work together to help individuals and families deal with issues such as:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Stress
- Grief and loss
- Relationship issues
Program Overview
Our Mental Health Counselors are qualified professionals who will work with you in a short-term, focused, and confidential manner to find solutions. Most people work with their counselor for approximately 4-6 sessions. We work collaboratively with your physician &/or nurse practitioner to provide care and meet your needs.
Dependent on the needs of the patient, a referral to community services or a psychiatric consultation may be facilitated.

- Individual, family, and/or marital counselling
- Psychiatric consultation
- Groups Linkages to community resources
